A REALISTIC FAITH IN A REAL WORLD

When you are deeply drowned with an onerous problems in life, it is really so hard to maintain a realistic faith in a real world today. A real world with not much hope but frustration. I rushly cut my vacation early this May believing that a sure job awaits me when I get back to Cavite from Olongapo.Surprisingly as it was, my notion collapsed as if an avalanche of melting ice covered me all over.
Admittedly, I sighed sadly with so much pain in my heart which immediately I prayed hard to the Lord to comfort me.My desire accompanied by expectation, slowly to vanish on a thin air, that a manifolds of wrinkles visibly shown on my face.
Fighting against the most impossible odds, rejoicing is hard to describe just as increasing a realistic faith.Sometimes you feel that the world is no longer revolving around you and time stops to rotates, as if you are in the bridge over troubled water and life is seemingly low that almost touching the ground filthy covered with dust just seeing yourself in the middle of a barren land which nobody can call you but yourself.Could you possibly lift your spirit and enhance your faith? Though, I'm half-miserable and gloomy today my faith to the Lord is still foldly intact.
Honestly, my heart is filled with envy seeing my friends and acquaintances who are luckily made thier lives abroad. I always thought to myself, Why can't I go abroad? Why God is so kind enough to open doors to other people, yet, selfishly neglect me? How long would I dream & anticipate that things would rightly fall in place for me? Do you think it'll happen? Sabi nila, habang may buhay may pag-asa, daw! it has been a favorite quotes to those who are weakly hopeless just to enliven the spirit hopes up.
Mind you people, I'm getting on in years now & still finding that job that'd help me to establish my own family & build my dreams somehow for my kids.
But God is always in control, His mighty plan is mysteriously hidden to us mankind, lets just anticipate that everything will be concealed in His perfect time.

CROSS WE BEAR

"We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we cannot.Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain....Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; But God's always ready, to answer your call....He knows every heartache, sees every tear,a word from His lips, can calm every fear...Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,to give you His grace, and send you His love.May God fill your day with blessings!!Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!"

Got touched deeply of these pictures that was posted on my friend's message box..I can't help but to copied them and made its way for viewing publicly. The pictures itself would tell something our complaints without knowing the prices that awaits ahead.
The cross that we bear everyday is just a mere trials that God put on our shoulders, seeing how far we can go of these crosses that we carry. I myself have complained the daily pains and bitterness I went thru every now and then...

PRAYER POWER

Mrs. White has stated that prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend.Prayer connects us to the infinite where comes our hope for a future that promises more than what the present offers.Prayer is our link to the unknown future where flows in unceasing strain our faith to the God who will never disaapoint nor leave us.
Jesus himself showed us that prayer is an important part of life. Many were the times in His earthly sojourn that he used prayer as a means to determine His Father's will.Prayer set the course of His life.Prayer accosted his ministry and brought peace to His agonizing soul when he was about to die on the cross. And by prayer, Jesus fully realized the mission He set out to do.We live in a world that is getting more cruel and hopeless each day.The enemy of our soul lurks within and without waiting to pounce on us during our moments of weakness.it is a gracious and loving God who has given us prayer power.
How much of that power are we using?

(Column by Prof.Olive Tolentino of AUP)

The best advice I ever got from my parents was to be a good prayerful. In this time of distressed and lowest part of my life..prayer becomes the propeller of my life that I used to eliminate downfalls and loneliness caused by problems.
The incredible power of prayer has done a lot of miracles that sometimes I can't open my eyes to believe.
It flunks the unusual test of time...that gives me confidence to face the world with courage.
Rejections from abroad truly hit me in pieces that I couldn't stand to gaze the hope of a new day.I have become prayerful and clinging to God's promises that He certainly not forsaken me specially in this gloomy time of my life.
The Lord knows the pleading of my heart that I really wanted to work abroad not just for financial purposes but to see the world as it is,how wonderfully He had made this planet for us.
Of course the financial stability by working abroad has been a primary reason but behind on it is I didn't want to die without experiencing life beyond the island.God had stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the seas hushed...the more He can do better for us.

IF GOD SHOULD CHOOSE MY WORK

If God should choose the work He has for me, I'm sure I shall not fail at what I do.His choice may lead through ways I cannot see
At present; yet His way I would pursue.
The world may beckon-dazzle-even call for talent which my God to me has given; But if I follow Christ,I must give all and trust that through my work I'm nearer heaven.
Could I but see beyond this present life, The end from the beginning well discern, I'm sure I'd live above this worldly strife, And God would teach me lessons I should learn.
If God should choose the work He has for me, I'm sure it would tell for all eternity!

(by: Wilma Ross Westphal)

I almost forgot to update my blog because of the busyness I got from these previous 4 busy months.
Honestly, months had passed still I haven't visited the tranquility of good nightly sleeping.Among the worst things that I hate myself is that I can't sleep properly.Sleep disorder has been a problem for me since I reached 24 (years old).
So many things have been flickering in my mind, and was trying to get it out and keep my mind to listen to the stillness of the night.Letting my soul to experience peacefulness.
Aside from the enjoying yet, exhausting job...one small thing but a big to grapple with is thinking profoundly about the stable job that I wish to have for.
This seriously bothering me ever since, sadly to say working in this country is just a speck of temporal job that refused to give you a career that somehow brings you to a laid back life oftenly.
The salary that I received each payday was just enough for survival and that keeps me shielding against the pangs of poverty.
Nevertheless,I have learned and reminded everything that has gone wasted in my life, that there is Somebody up there awaiting for my call whenever I need Him.
Thanks to my parents who had taught me to be a frequent church goer,in there you'll be advised and recharged spiritually.
Searching a job is no longer an issue nor a big thing to bother,I allow God to work for it for me.Allowing Him to find the exact job for me is somewhat consulting my earthly father the best that I truly deserves.
Despite of the great challenges I have encountered in life...in this country...I boldly believe that He has prepared a career for me.Tearfully to remember,I have been rejected a hundred times....I tried to apply abroad with the hope my luck is at the other side of this world but because I am a Filipino, racial discrimination is still rampant even among Asian neighbors.
This is the kind of planet we are practically living...if there is something that I could do and perform magic...I barely to sing the song of Eric Clapton " Change the World".

GOD ALWAYS ANSWERS PRAYER

There are only two kinds of life, two spectacular set of images of life that humanity can see, Happiness and Sadness.
Most of the entries I posted previously, brought sadness to those who happened to read.It speaks frustration, depression and nothing but about sadness.Because of the plight that I have right now,I thought of God closes His ears to listen my poor supplications since none of my prayers had answered.
I visited my Alma Mater (AUP) and stayed there for a couple of days.Mostlikely,I usually stayed at periodical section to satisfy my longingness of reading books, magazines, and newspapers.
While browsing a certain religious magazine, one eye-catching column had opened the blindness in me that God is still answering even my faintest prayer.
Let me share this encouraging messages which I photocopied, just to let everybody know God really answers prayer.

When the idea is not right God says, "No."

No ~ when the idea is not the best.

No ~ when the idea is absolutely wrong.

No ~ when though it may help you, it could create problems for someone else.

When the time is not right, God says, "Slow."

What a catastrophe it would be if God answered every prayer at the snap of your fingers.

Do no you know what would happen? God would become your servant, not your master.

Suddenly, God would be working for you instead of you working for God.

Remember:

God's delays are not God's denials.

God's timing is perfect.

Patience is what we need in prayer.

When you are not right, God says, "Grow."

The selfish person has to grow in unselfishness.

The cautious person must grow courage.

The timid person must grow in confidence.

The dominating person must grow in sensitivity.

The critical person must grow in tolerance.

The negative person must grow in positive attitudes.

The pleasure-seeking person must grow in compassion for suffering people.

When everything is all right, God says, "Go."

Then the miracles happen:

A hopeless alcoholic is set free!

A drug addict finds release!

A doubter becomes as a child in his belief.

Diseased tissue responds to treatment, healing begins.

The door to your dream suddenly swings open

and there stands God saying, "Go!"

The purpose of prayer is not to give you what you want, when you want it. But the purpose of prayer is to turn you into the kind of person God wants you to be so he can answer your prayer in the way it needs to be answered..

God answers prayer always in one of four ways: When conditions are not right, God says "no." When the time is not right, God says "slow." When you are not right, "God answers grow!" When everything is right, God says, "GO!

God does not advertise an "Instant Prayer Answering Service." Nowhere in the entire Bible can you find that God will do anything you ask Him to do when you snap you finger or when you make your verbal demand. But when everything is right - the conditions, the time, you yourself, and all else - then the answer is "Yes!"

God maintains control in the area of the why and the when. If to your very sincere prayer He answers no, and you ask Him why you can be sure God will not answer or explain. God doesn't answer why questions for this simple reason: You really want to argue and God refuses to be drawn into an argument. Any reasons that He would give in answer to your why question would not satisfy.

God never explains why and God never promises when. His delays are not denials. His timing is perfect. Patience is what we need in prayer. Some people don't suffer from doubt as much as they suffer from impatience. P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E is one of the ways to spell faith!

"O rest in the Lord, wait patiently for Him and He shall give thee thy heart's desire.

THROUGH THE BARRICADES

In this troubled land, desperation keeps us down, it really test your ground. Searching for a good-high-paying-job is really hard to find nowadays in this country.
There were million of jobhunters in this land including myself. Hungry cows will surely go for a greener luxuriant grass to satisfy the hungry abdomen. I thought the moment I finally step out in the big University would be a piece of cake as College graduate. Much to my surprise, the competition is so tough, multitude of starving prey were also in competitive situation.
When I seriously face the world for the 3rd times, unexpected wrong surmise amazed me that my education isn't enough tool to guarantee that a better career which cosiderately a lifetime monetary wise awaits beforehand, contrariwise, its an upsetting conundrum.
Afraid to be idle after graduation, offer from mediocre job was so hard to resist. My happiness had no bounds when I got the job as teacher at a Language Institute with in doubt of the verbal agreement suspiciously.
For a very short of two months working at the Language Institute wasn't a feeling of pleasurable that comes when a need or desire is fulfilled because I was expecting that I could stay a bit longer as I confidently believed since my enjoyment for teaching was sincerely with deep feeling and full spirit inspite of workin' with those insincere claimed SDA Christians or pious to be exact.
My cognition had come to a definite presentiment that its better to work with those non-believers rather to those who profess to be missionaries and SDA Christians, yet, ironically disagreeing what is supposed to be as it is. Christ had said at Matthew 23 verses 3,27 & 33,"FOR THEY DON'T PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH;"WOE TO YOU HYPOCRITES YOU ARE LIKE WHITE WASHED TOMBS WHICH LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE BUT FULL OF DEAD MEN'S BONES AND EVERYTHING UNCLEAN;"YOU SNAKES! YOU BROOD OF VIPERS." what a blant yet painful statement, isn't it?
Sometimes human nature prone to criticize what is exactly visible to the eyes. I can't pictorially imagine having an immediate unprincipled superior who has a poor leadership and cannot fully express her normal self in refine English but a jibberish constipated English.A 3rd time flunkers ugly coyote, educated in the medical field yet, professionally uncultured busybody. Moreover, a questionably unvarnished to teach.
Handful subordinates whom I called a yesman hyena and nothing but a coward hopeless slavish followers,short-necked individuals or let say Sip-sip in Tagalog serves devil advocates aggravating the circumstances with the desire they won't be evicted.
Without realizing that they were on the abysmal ignorance, clouded the silly rules of this bumptious outsider.Claimant as religious leader but a leech-sucking of the sophisticating intelligentsia of this poor country. This outsider hails from out of nowhere seemingly enjoying of ejecting tenants unfairly.
May God forgive me for bringing this out in the open allowing everybody to read online.
When you allow emotions to voice out freely, word of adjective came out easily as likely to describe these earthly things,DESPICABLE- so to speak.
I just write to explain the bad feelings I have supressed right now and I know that the tone of my writing affects the moods of the readers.Nevertheless,'am I hitting the wall so hard enough for them to collapse? well, its just a statement or act of freeing myself from moral pains.
Honest to goodness,I praised God - He allowed things to happen which I realized somehow that faraway I already made history.
Now, I already crossed the line and dance upon the rain that there is always a way to escape from strife.
If there is something to loose, there's everything to go....the final shout is over...thanks to this internet thing..emotions that can't be spoken out verbally, there is an option to choose but scribbling them down..and this is it.

SHOWERS OF BLESSING

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
Refrain:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.
There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.

God has been really so good to me....and word's of gratitude isn't enough to express how much I appreciate Him and love Him so dearly.
The above passages is a Christian song entitled Showers of Blessing written by Daniel W. Whittle,1883.
The song describes the abundance blessings from above. And that is exactly the feeling I felt right now.
Somewhat indescribable and tearfully heartwarming.
First,I got a job now, though I was rejected for Texas but God reserves better than going to US.
Secondly,I received money from my benefactor in New York....
Third,I am nominated as Filipino Blog of the Week by Talksmart....isn't so unbeleivable? I mean, there's a lot of blogs spreading around the net better than I do..but Talksmart put me in the pedestal that I could not simply talk the emotions of bliss. So people outthere please cast your vote for me....just simply log on to Talksmart blogsite and you will see it at the leftside bar of his blog.
well, I am not expecting to win but to be nominated is indeed a great reward for me.
Fourth is,I got a new blogskin in my blog exclusively made for me as I requested it.Thank you so much Glennboy...this kid from Singapore is truly a good webdesigner and kind.

Fifth,I decided to make a second blog which I entrusted Carlota to design it for me...again, another kind person set aside time for my second blog and you can visit them at www.kalbolicous.blogspot.com
you'll see how Carlota blessed with so much skills on technology..

I would also like to apologize for the long and delayed time on posting here....time is so tight and I am honestly busy.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

It's been awhile that I didn't post anything down here....honestly, I am busy and don't have time to sit nor gaze upon the starry night.
Just lately, while I was having my afternoon siesta....there was this book that seriously caught my attention....it's about spiritual thing.
I got this very heartwarming poem or story that truly touches me...And I thought of posting it here, because it describes a lot if you will try to contemplate and savor the message of this story.
Sometimes we tend to complain that we're nothing....futile and vain...If we'll try to look around us,eveything is beauty though polluted by sins and man's irrisposibility, yet,the beauty of it still proclaim God's love for us.
The Bible tells us that we are special..He created us according to His likeness, above the animals..a bit lower than the holy angels in heaven.
Do I sounds like preaching here? well, just read and pause for awhile.Think, why you are here? Why He created you....or the best tool read your Bible..or if that keeps your confusing..I suggest, read the Purpose Driven Life
Here it is,hope you'll learn from this short shorts.

VISION
Two people watched the same sunset.
One said: " At times like this I am afraid.
The sky is so vast, the sea so immense.
In comparison, I'm a speck of dust,
here today, done tomorrow.
When I look at the hugeness of creation,
I feel my significance and I wonder what my life is all about.

The second person said:
"What a glorious sunset!
Just think!
I am the reason that this exists.
I am the only proof I have
Of all the beauty in this world.
Without the gift of my life,
the gift of my senses,
All this would be as nothing-
I praise God that the universe is held
in the wonder of my being
.

NOTHING MUCH NEWSWORTHY

The rest of the day was dull & uptightly hot. It's not that I hate summer but as a legally-bald, summer heat irk you to hide at home, instead of enjoying the outdoor activities.
As newly graduate, emotions of desentisize & downhearted were normally the generalized feelings that you have the moment you will be discardedly rejected for a job you wish to get.
Honestly, that's how I felt today.Bitterness, discouragement, etc. were the usual unfavorably adjectives a man has to bore deeply in his heart.I can't help but to question God and myself...'Am I not qualified enough to obtain the job? what's in them (other applicants) that I don't have?
Among of the thousand students in AUP, I was one of the lucky students who were selected to apply the most sought job for an SDA christian like me, to work as Literature Evangelist in Texas,USA.(take not USA)
I accidentally met one of the chosen applicants on the way who just stately showed to me the invitation letter from Texas, as a living proof that they are worth accepted to work in USA.
As a lone dreamer, going to a country that flows with milk and honey was my childhood tenacious desire.God can attest providencially how I crave earnestly to see America.Job offer specifically from US is a frequent of circumstances favorable by a Filipino which of hardly procure in his life.
Ironically, here comes that apparent employment right before your damn face, yet, isn't bound fately meant for you.
Upon learning that I wasn't accepted, I texted Mr. Ruddy Vivanco(a Cuban guy who recruited us)asking him in what areas did I failed and this was what he replied,"It is not a matter of failure bro when you have 50 people in a quote for 20 some have to get in some out. That's the result of prayers, keep praying God indeed has something better for you.Sorry" what a text isn't it...
Have I not prayed for it? "Am I not asking earnestly to God to grant it for me? Does my motive to see America & work there as missionary caused me to fail?
One thing more that added deplorable pain in my heart was when my Dean drove me out of the review class (for LET) to sit in because I am penniless to pay for the review, so I voluntarily step out instead to avoid disgrace.
Gee, it was truly a bad day for me as in unlucky, ample for me to cry out in shout that I am so much battered.Signs of obscure vignette of tomorrow for me.huh!
Are these the price I got after my 3 long years of studying just to earn a degree? I don't think so.
Concerning to this plight, surely enough, God reserved the best job for me,which He had proven a million times claiming His promised in Hebrew 13:5-"I will never Leave you nor forsaken you".That strong promise has miraculously shown His wonderful indications once that I need not to be discouraged.
Nevertheless, at least something had credibly happened last week by chance.I was called by a certain language Center for an interview and to get an exam.As far as I can remember, I had given my best to both, yet, can't prophesied the assurance of my passing.Needless to say, I have the edge & advance potential rather to my fellow applicant due to my missionary background.Again, can't surely foretell if my missionary antecedents would be my one way ticket to get the job.Just keep my fingers crossed tightly to that and of course the best propeller of all....time to bend my knees.
All of those unfately thing without apparent cause were just coarse mountain that I need to climb seriously to tell the world shamelessly that God has a positive guarantee to insure against my loss.
Kudos to Sir Tumolva,Bro Amadie, Ramil, Love & to the rest who made it for the applying.Praying that you won't be blockade by your inner drive, yet, unhesitatingly continuing till you make it to the US Embassy. The moment you make it in US Embassy successfully, chances are it would be easier for you to fly directly to Texas.....thats my prayers for you guys.

SEEKING SOLACE FROM GOD

Parang kaylan lang......its February na, a month of Love and a month of My Birthday.......whew....I'm getting old na nanaman.............well..I thank God for extending my life again though its not my birthday yet.
Wanna know the date of my natal day? much to my regret, I have to reveal the most confidential thing 'coz I dont let anybody to offer a song or what, but anyway......Valentine day is the day I was born......
Last night, I read a beautiful poem from a book that melted my heart...something that soothes to your heart even to the dividing soul.
So much for that, oftentimes we neglect to thank God or even set aside time to talk to Him and when adversary intrudes our lives thats the moment we cling unto Him and call for a rescue....here is a beautiful poem created by Helen Steiner Rice, a very popular poetic.

GOD KNOWS BEST
By Helen Steiner Rice

Our Father knows best what's best for us

So why should we complain

We always want the sunshine

But he knows there must be rain

We love the sound of laughter

And the moment of cheer

But our hearts would lose their tenderness

If we never shed a tear.

Our Father tests us often

With suffering and with sorrow

He tests us not to punish us

But to help us meet tomorrow

So whenever we are troubled

And everything goes wrong

It is just God working in us

To make our spirit strong.

Isn't it so wonderful and touching??? is it?...when I read this poem..I felt something is wrong with me....throughout the day and nights I kept myself busy without realizing that there is Somebody up there that needs my praises..waiting for my words of endearment.
Well...I collected some pictures that somehow reminds me of the goodness of the Lord......honestly...I love nature.....the Lord speaks to me thru this wonderful piece of His.
Everyday, we used to complain why and why's....yet, He always forgives 'coz He knows whats best for us.....and I really do believe.
