Interracial Marriage in Poland

According to wikipedia - Interracial marriage occurs when two people of differing racial groups marry. I am not a newbie anymore of this mixed race marriage since most of my (women) kins had successfully found their happiness to their respective foreign husbands. Let me clear, when we say interracial marriage - race issues have come up specially if the color of the skin is the main point to every talk and blah blah around here or anywhere. Better yet, what matters most then is the focus of the marriage is LOVE, commitment and respect each other irrespective of the color of the skin. The other week, I went to a wedding because I was invited & they happened to be my friends, whom I just met here in Poland not so long ago. Practically, the girl is originally from Jamaica and the guy is from Poland which their love story began when the guy went backpacking to Jamaica & the rest of that ended to a so called "husband & wife". Aside from the obvious reason that they both comes from different countries the wedding rite was done in a modern-Polish wedding if I may say so. Moreover, it has also been my childhood dream to marry from or to a different race so long as not from Asia. I find it more colorful and lovely when you marry to someone far different from the color of your skin, language and belief. In fact, I had been to an interracial relationships while I was still in the midst of my studying in college. There are some undeniable truths, but a lot of stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding this issue that why I preferred marrying someone outside the canopy of my country or outside the vicinity of Asia? Well, that's gonna be a long discussion to talk about, the point is I don't see anything wrong on interracial marriage, to say the least, the pictures below are proving of a success relationships from different origins.

THE ANGELS

Just wanna share this wonderful story being passed around the net...it was forwarded to me by a friendster-friend and was truly touched by it...wishing you will feel the same thing too.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied... "Things aren't always what they seem".
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel, "how could you have let this happen!? The first man had everything, yet you helped him," "The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let their cow die." "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave her the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."
Sometimes this is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later. - Unknown Author

SPENDING TIME

Last year,I posted some inspirational stories that brought tears and touched our hearts.I truly love reading anecdotes or inspirational story. They do change our lives and give us moment to think profoundly.
Again, here I am sharing with you a story to live by..which I've got from Phils. Star Daily news paper, quoted from the column of Wilson Lee, a professional columnist. This story was also sent to him from another Phils.Star reader by the name Hans Henry Wong.
"This was what Wilson Lee comments on the story: It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us,those close to our hearts.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated,to find his five-year old son waiting for him at the door.
"Daddy, may I ask you a question?" the son asked. "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.
"Daddy, how much do you make an hour?" "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
"I just want to know. Please tell me,how much do you make an hour?" "If you must know,I make 100Php an hour?"
"Oh,"the little boy replied, with his head down."Daddy, may I please borrow 50Php?" The father was furious,"If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed.Think about why you are being so selfish.I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions only. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After abut an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that 50Php and he really didn't ask money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked. " No Daddy,I'm awake," replied the boy. "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man."It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the 50Php you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up and smiled."Oh,thank you daddy!" Then reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled-up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.
"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled. "Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied. "Daddy, I have 100Php now.Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow.I would like to have dinner with you." The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son,and begged for forgiveness.

"Do remember to share that 100Php worth of your time with someone you love.If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for today can easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it,we pour ourselves more into work than into our family.
Money is not everything,we can earn yesterday's money back, but we can't earn the time that we lost yesterday.Time is as precious as gold, but no amount of gold on earth can buy back time that has passed.
We are all equal in the sense that God gives us all 24hours per day.How do we wisely spend time or waste it? How do we invest our time? How do we maximize the efficiency of our really most valuable resource?"

A TOUCHING STORY TO LIVE BY

I felt so down and frustrated this week...sorry, I can't bring them out in here.Sometimes, life is unfair but if I started to look up...things changed easily with a satisfying answer.I came across with this story when I checked my friendster...and I felt like posting them here...the story is posted upon the original context without changing the grammar or any errors appear in here. The story goes like this:

There was an
atheist couple who had a child. The
couple never told their daughter
anything about the Lord. One night
when the little girl was 5 years old,
the parents fought with each other and
the Dad shot the Mom, right in front
of the child. Then, the dad shot
himself! The little girl watched it
all. She then was sent to a foster
home. The foster mother was a
Christian and took the child to
church. On the first day of Sunday
School, the foster mother told the
teacher that the girl had never heard
of Jesus, and to have patience with
her. The teacher held up a picture of
Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who
this is?" The little girl said, "I
do,
that's the man who was holding me
the night my parents died
."

RENT-A-FAMILY

One of the topics in my Man to Man class with the Koreans...was Rent-A-Family.I could not hardly believe that there is such a thing like this.
There are a number of rent-a-family companies in Japan. One in Chiba, for instance, is called Japan Efficiency Headquarters.Elderly parents often do not live with their oldest son's family, as was almost the case before the war.Further weakening the tie between parents and their grown children are the long hours the children put in at work.
Rent-A-Family companies say business is booming.Japan Efficiency Headquarters, for example, has 80 people on its waiting list.
The company's president says,"Our purpose is to fill a hole in the heart".
Not all Japanese are enthusiastic about rent-a-family companies. A Japanese professor who specializes in aging says,"Personality, it is beyond my understanding," and a Japanese sociologist says simply,"it is very sad."
And it is seriously true...good thing that we don't have that here in the Philippines...Mabuhay for the Filipinos...

PUPPIES FOR SALE (A STORY TO LIVE BY)

Last Saturday, was a good and bright seventh day of the week.Amidst of the disturbing weather,we managed to hold a very holistic and solemn worship....please don't get me wrong..I am a Seventh Day Adventist Christian.
An invited speaker from the Caribbean area, jokingly shared some stories for us to be entertained specially the students.
But one story that deeply sounds so serious and paused you for awhile, was a story made by his own version.
Eventually, I had heard this story a million times and even read them in the internet...but it's really good and made you think that not everyone goes with easy flaws of life.
The story goes like this:

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

SEEKING SOLACE FROM GOD

Parang kaylan lang......its February na, a month of Love and a month of My Birthday.......whew....I'm getting old na nanaman.............well..I thank God for extending my life again though its not my birthday yet.
Wanna know the date of my natal day? much to my regret, I have to reveal the most confidential thing 'coz I dont let anybody to offer a song or what, but anyway......Valentine day is the day I was born......
Last night, I read a beautiful poem from a book that melted my heart...something that soothes to your heart even to the dividing soul.
So much for that, oftentimes we neglect to thank God or even set aside time to talk to Him and when adversary intrudes our lives thats the moment we cling unto Him and call for a rescue....here is a beautiful poem created by Helen Steiner Rice, a very popular poetic.

GOD KNOWS BEST
By Helen Steiner Rice

Our Father knows best what's best for us

So why should we complain

We always want the sunshine

But he knows there must be rain

We love the sound of laughter

And the moment of cheer

But our hearts would lose their tenderness

If we never shed a tear.

Our Father tests us often

With suffering and with sorrow

He tests us not to punish us

But to help us meet tomorrow

So whenever we are troubled

And everything goes wrong

It is just God working in us

To make our spirit strong.

Isn't it so wonderful and touching??? is it?...when I read this poem..I felt something is wrong with me....throughout the day and nights I kept myself busy without realizing that there is Somebody up there that needs my praises..waiting for my words of endearment.
Well...I collected some pictures that somehow reminds me of the goodness of the Lord......honestly...I love nature.....the Lord speaks to me thru this wonderful piece of His.
Everyday, we used to complain why and why's....yet, He always forgives 'coz He knows whats best for us.....and I really do believe.

PERSONAL TESTIMONY

Having a parent with different religious backgrounds was hopelessly confusing. My father goes to his church on Saturday while my mother on her church every Sunday.
So my condition then was drifted.Like a dry leaf being tossed by the wind without direction. On the lighter note, our home becomes a family of Adventist.

However, living in a fast growing suburban wasn't that easy where tempting sightly places were so hard to resist. That was the moment that I became acquainted these intoxicated drinks, learn to dance and even involved in a sordid orgy.
Moreover, I got almost hooked on carnal pleasure and nearly developed as a habit.Reaching the certain age, enough to understand the basic flaws of life, I decided to visit Cavite to look for a greener pasture, wherein Olongapo city by then was suffering a downfall economically due to calamity and the Americans sudden bequest.
I landed a good job in a British Electronic firm as Production Operator nearly five years. My frequent of attending church becoming deviated as I was mandatory required to work seven days a week. Year 1999 was considered to be a turning point of my Life which it turns out a blessing for me spiritually, when a certain global horrible scuttlebutt about Millennium bug grew to be a death threats in my life.

Because of its dreadful impact that awakens and caused me to tremble frightfully, I had thought of a backtrack which sometimes God has been so great to me since then. Lucky I, the Holy Spirit is still working out in me. On the other hand, as I was on the threshold of recuperating spiritually, I had felt that there was something inside urged me to join the missionary.
The invitations were so irresistible. Without any second thought, I accepted the challenged, spiritually unprepared. The experienced was filled with heavenly joys that are unforgettable. I learned to appreciate things, contentment in life, accepting people from different status and walks of life, but most of all it changed the other half of me.
Honestly, there is still colossal struggling in me, yet, I have learned to leave it up all to the Lord, allowing Him to solve it for me. When my missionary ended last 2002, another problem came along which nearly discouraged me, bewildered what to do, since I refused to work if Sabbath is not free. Because God uses ordinary people to counseled me to study in MVC as working student, there was a bit relief temporarily. Since I'm getting on in years, I pondered deeply what would be my age then if I study throughout as working student.
So I challenged God what He has in store for me. To my amazement, God showed His marvelous miracles out on my answered prayers. Modesty aside, I've got three benefactors; one from Hongkong who works as General Manager in a Hotel; the other one is from Mainland China serving as Pastor ; last one is from New York working as a Clergy. Isn't that an amazing grace, is it?
God says; " If you beleive, you will receive whatever you ask for in a prayer". Matthew 21:22
I am a graduating senior now, hopefully marching tearfully this April 1st. If there is someone that I owe a lot.....that is God.....To God be the glory and of course my family who always on their bended knees for my success.

THE YOUNG TERRORIST

It's been awhile that I was disconnected online, if I would just count it-it has been four days. Cybercally, I used to be online checking my two sites which is my personal website and my blog.
Day to day records, especially the significant and credible one's must be evidently recorded in here so that everyone could read and spiritually be blessed ( I hope so).
I have this beautiful story which I got from a high school book..that indeed touches and moved me...I truly love to share this story and hopefully melts your heart as well.

The Young Terrorist
Anonymous
There was a violent encounter between a group of terrorist and an army detachment in Mindanao. The terrorists succeeded in wiping out the group of soldiers whom they had ambushed. After the last shot was sounded, the terrorists went around among the dead with the hope of salvaging whatever was useful to them. As the youngest of them was doing the search, he found an unmailed letter in the pocket of a young soldier.
Curious to know the contents of the letter, he opened it and hurriedly read it.

Dear Mother,
Please forgive me for leaving you and my brothers and sisters. Dont ever think that I am a bad son.
I had to leave our family even if it was against my will because I wanted to improve our family's life situations. I just want to earn and help my brothers and sisters get an education.
I know that what you earn as a vendor is too meager to support our family. That's why I joined the army.
As a soldier I have encountered many hardships. Death walks with me everyday. But I'm not afraid, for I know that God will protect me. I do my job faithfully and well. That was what you taught me.
Yesterday I received my first salary and I'm sending you a postal money order for one thousand five hundred pesos. With this amount you can buy a sack of rice, a few cans of sardines, and pay the tuition fees of Lita and Caloy.
I should have sent you twice this amount but I'm not so sure if it wont be lost in the mail. I'll send you the rest after you have answered this letter.
How's everybody? Is Terry still no.1 in her class? Does Dan give you anymore problems? Tell baby she'll have her dream doll when I come home. Tell the others that we'll go shopping and eat out when I return.Just be patient.
Give my love and regards to them all. And of course to my dearest Cherry. Tell her I miss her. I'll write her soon.
Please take care of yourself, Ma. Don't work too hard. And please don't worry about me. I shall be home this Christmas, perhaps.

Love,
Arnold

The young terrorist was beside himself with grief for the first time in his life. Deeply touched by the soldier's letter, he felt and upheaval, an internal turmoil. As he took one last look at the young lifeless soldier, he saw himself in him.He began to reexamine his own choice, his ideology, his own life-style. This event, this tragic encounter arose deep stirrings within him. For the first time he was confronted with the enemy--the war. But now it has put on a new face. The impersonal enemy became an enemy with a name, a person with the same aspirations as he. He remembered his own family, his mother, trying to make both ends meet to feed his little brothers and sisters.
This encounter revealed to him a universal and a personal aspiration and cry for help. The cry kept ringing in his ears.
At the break of dawn the next day, he headed for town with the letter in his pocket. As he dropped it into the mail box, there was only one thought in his mind. Then slowly he walked toward the camp of the 23rd Army detachment.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Posted at www.freewebs.com/ericsblog last Tuesday, Sep 19, 2006

Here is a moving story that is being passed around through the Internet. I hope you will not shed a tear or two after you read this story.
The story goes that some time ago a man punished his 5- year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became even more upset when the child pasted the gold paper so as to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her father the next morning and said, " This is for you, Daddy." The father was embarrased by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty. He spoke to her in a harsh manner, " Dont you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the package?"
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, " Oh Daddy, its not empty.I blew kisses into it until it was full." The father was crushed. He felt on his knees and put his arms around his little girl, and he begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.
An unfortunate accident took the life of the child only a short time later and it told that the father kept that gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. And whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems he would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each of us as human beings has been given a golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God.
There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.
