Reposting and Reblogging: Viral Photo, Little Girl Gives Israeli Commander the Filipino version of Respect to Elders

My country has been the center of any natural catastrophic ever since and we haven't given up, instead, we fought and face it with so much bravery and courage.
Haiyan typhoon was recorded to be the strongest typhoon so far, it is even considered as the monster storms from the Pacific.
Herewith, is a nice article that I just recently read, it became viral and quickly spread like a wildfire. It moved and touched me that I couldn't help but to spread the message of reblogging it.

Captain Assaf Diller of IDF, experiences the gesture of a Filipino tradition, “MANO PO”.A beautiful and meaningful Filipino gesture to express respect and thanks … usually given to Filipino elders … holding their hand, bowing slightly to allow their hand to touch the forehead. This photo speaks volumes in expressing the deepest respect and profound thanks to the many, many hearts that were moved to help the Philippines.

While the displaced people tried to collect the pieces of their life after the devastating Typhoon that struck and left hundreds of thousands homeless, an officer from the Israeli Home Front Command sent help to those working with the local community.
Captain Assaf Diller, a company commander of the Israeli Home Front Command, reported from the field, describing the Israeli Delegations to the Philippines’ (IDP) work with survivors of Typhoon Haiyan. They stressed that the situation is bad, that the people are hungry and mostly don’t know how to help themselves.
Thanks to the work of the Israeli mission to the Philippines, 7 out of 20 classrooms ruined by Yolanda’s wrath in Bogo City Center have been restored and 350 students were able to return to school. The Israeli mission’s premise that having the students return to school will motivate the parents to return to work and be part of the overall thrust to restart their lives and town’s economy again.

The team was working within the hospital walls, too, but they returned to the school in Bogo City Center to visit, and were glad to see the students have returned to their studies, and to see that their toil of love has paid off. The Filipino teachers explained their presence to the students. The Israeli delegation went as far as teaching the students words and songs in Hebrew which excited them more. The conference hall was the Israeli team’s last project at the school; they removed the ceiling which had collapsed so the hall could be used again. The head of the educational institution could not thank them enough and it looks like the gesture of the little girl in the photo made more impact to the IDP.He narrates: “An amazing mission with tremendous personal satisfaction. It was a difficult day and a lot of work, but the smiles of the students make it worth it.”

BLOG ABSENT-WORST LIFE

Sorry about the downtime with the blog thing. I usually blog after work and I was off for a while.
I have a weird little mood going. Manic – depressive. Well now that I write it, I guess that ain’t too weird; that is what we are. The problems in life is finding it harder and harder to put me to a good night’s rest. I often think that I am not hitting the right sleep position and wake up feeling worse than when I went to sleep. Guaranteed If I ran out I wouldn’t sleep much. My mind is constantly turning. I thoughts flood out just about everything. When people talk to me I have to make a conscious effort to pay attention and often that doesn’t help and I have to ask them to start over. My eyes are constantly wide and intense. I find myself dominating conversations and unable to shut-up.
I will say that luckily I haven’t had too much rage that usually wells inside during the manic times. A few days everyone’s voices grated my nerves and I got pissy, but overall I remained calm. I have caught myself at work getting irritated and having to reign in my comments that otherwise would seem crass or even belligerent.
I haven’t had any anxiety attacks since last I blogged and this makes Ash very happy. Man do I hate those.
Work hasn’t been too stressful lately, although I have been gone more than there lately. Not being there usually does wonders for stress levels.
My body has been adjusting the sleepless nights and was gotten used to it.

FOR THE RECORD

Some friends and close friends..were asking me what is Blog? why,and what did I write on my blog.
Technologically speaking, there are still people who are'nt consciously acquianted with this blog thing in the internet. They are only just familiar with Friendster,MySpace and Multiply but not on Blog.
Well, I told them verbally the reasons, here are my reasons....
This online diary contains the activities of myself. It does not tell about the mere sadness thing that I have been into everyday, but a paraphrase of events that I usually do.
I evaded to write down the sadness, but, since this is an online diary open for public viewing and reading, yet,I finally decided to include them. Recording the happenings is very essential because it would help me to pack my things as I continue my traveling this sod.
Warnings was the first caution that I told them....I don't Grammar-check, nor Spelling-Check unless time would permit me to edit the whole thing.
The journey may seems not smooth, though, the sailings bombarded with collosal storms, the trails or the footstep that I left is only a memories of the past which molded the other half of me.
It may or this may not declares the factual of my persona, the events that has been scribbled each moment will remain a records at this point of time forever.
Odds as others may describe it, to a man at my age records his life to a piece of paper or in the internet, but still I sometimes think it's horrible that you find you can never really confide in people, even in those who are near to you but to post them online.
Time's continue to run, days' changed as human too speedily. My journal online is the thoughts and expressions the better half of me.Living under extraordinary conditions, envelope with hopes and dreams, and for this reason my diary tells or would tell me much about the yesterdays & yesteryears of my life.
It rekindles me the days that I have missed or the chances that I have failed to devulge.
And for this reason too,I felt how close I am to all. This is also an appropriate monument to my fine spirit amidst of the usual failings that I have momentarily do.
Ang labo ng entry ko this time anoh??? well,I can't really write nor has the gift but I just take my chances lang kung ma develop ba.

BLOGGERS PRAYER

Just right after I posted my gratitude for winning the Filipino Blog Awards,I had found this Bloggers Prayer from a blog of a Priest..
As I browse down and read the whole content,I felt something force internally ...it's like a transformation within.Without any second thought, I asked authorization to repost the Prayer using my blog account...but he wasn't permitted me yet, praying that he won't kill me..so blog hoppers read and please try to internalize this heartwarming supplications for us bloggers.

So compassionate, so faithful, so loving You are Our Father.

We ask You to increase our faith and our love for You that we may use blogging as an instrument to fulfill Your purposes. May we become bloggers of truth and promoters of peace.

Help us to be steadfast in our Christian commitment that visitors may find in our blogs a source of encouragement and inspiration. Give us strength to proclaim Your word, that we may play our part in breaking down the walls of hostility in the world and use our blogs to strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity and love.

Make our hearts meek and humble
that we may treat our readers as friends, not as unique hits,
that we may strive to change ourselves for the better more often than we pimp our site templates,
that we may find more time to ease the pain of someone in our own home than to reply to comments left by strangers,
that we may interact with our next door neighbors as often as we chat with our blogrolled friends,
that we may be more concerned about helping the less privileged than about the number of subscribers to our RSS feeds.

Deliver us, Father, from spams and viruses, from pride and selfishness, and from the temptation to replicate images without permission and copy ideas without crediting the original authors.

May we always be united as a network of bloggers and friends working together in Your name. May our blogs lead us closer to You.

We ask all these through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

I WON THE FILIPINO BLOG OF THE WEEK

This very especial design was made by Kuya Rolly...a person behind my winning.

As a humble blogger...I never expect nor thinking of receiving any Blog Awards since I don't have the gift in writing and all my ideas here were merely poor comparing to those who are what we so called Professional Bloggers.
I would like to extend my most profound gratitude to Talksmart for the nomination he made .For several weeks the competition was very tough and the competitors we're also great bloggers.
My humble attention was ecstatically surprised, when Talksmart informed me that I was nominated...At first, I was landed to 4th place and the following week 2nd place and at last A Winner and A Hall of Fame.
Glory to God in the Highest is the only thing I can say for now....of course, I would like to acknowledge the Bisdakplanet for their kind supports thru out the voting and to those people who visited my blog and cast their votes...most specially to Kuya Rolly for the 24 hours votes and with his convincing power, persuading the Bisdak community to give their support for the remaining week.

MY FIRST EVER BLOG

Posted at www.freewebs.com/ericsblog last Friday, Sep 8, 2006

Honestly, I dont have any idea whats blog is all about. Before blogging has come to existence..I already had my own website which I created for three years...gee...imagine three years.
There was no internet before in my younger years..there might have, but it was only intended for aristocratic homo sapiensUntil , I read several sites and messages about blog so I decided to post one. Got an idea now,Web logs" now called "blogs" are personal or group journals published on the Web. Blogs are a great way to communicate your opinions, comment on things going on in your life, keep your visitors up to date on what you are up to, or talk about other issues of interest to your users.
In addition, blogs allow your users to comment and discuss what you write, all on your current site! Plus, as a blog user, you can comment on other blogs as well! Don't forget to add your profile. In other words, its a substitute for the traditional one which is Diary.Honestly, I dont have any idea whats blog is all about.
Eventually, I already made one just a couple of months now but I thought of creating a new one and transferred them here. Next time, I will post a new one.I am quite exhausted due to my insomia.
