LIVE WHERE TIME CAN'T REACH YOU

Daydreaming is one of my favorite pastimes. I tried to relish it in a serene privacy to a certain peace and quite place so that I could fully concentrate well. Picturing myself living in a dream place with the undisturbed slopes of the world is truly a perfect time for daydreaming.
Bombarded with so much pressure in the work, political issues, economic crisis, etc. can cruelly tear you down both the emotions and physical.
More than a decade now, I have been plainly rejected and declined by applying abroad. My patience has been tested and the good thing about me is that I never retreat nor surrender. I'm not that strong neither a weak.
I am truly fascinated and happy at the same time seeing my friends back then who successfully made their luck abroad. Almost of them are settling in USA and some of them are partly living in the Middle East.
My daydreaming is still lives on and it wouldn't be drifted till the good break leaps me to a places I long to see. I am already worn out and bored staying in the country without any hopes and assurance. The only simple pleasure I have is checking our batch website in the net every now and then, peeping out what's new and who's newly registered among of my classmates or batchmates in high school.
It's the only recreations I have to eradicate boredoms and monotonous life. Sometimes my updating of this blog takes time before I came to a point of plunging my fingers to type whatever ideas I have.
This is the kind of life I have in right now, yet, I controlled myself of not whining too much as the Lord would certainly sad and refuse to pour out His blessings. Well, that's the life we have in this sinful world.

CROSS WE BEAR

"We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we cannot.Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain....Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; But God's always ready, to answer your call....He knows every heartache, sees every tear,a word from His lips, can calm every fear...Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,to give you His grace, and send you His love.May God fill your day with blessings!!Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!"

Got touched deeply of these pictures that was posted on my friend's message box..I can't help but to copied them and made its way for viewing publicly. The pictures itself would tell something our complaints without knowing the prices that awaits ahead.
The cross that we bear everyday is just a mere trials that God put on our shoulders, seeing how far we can go of these crosses that we carry. I myself have complained the daily pains and bitterness I went thru every now and then...

WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN

Class section-8, batch 89-90.

I was unable to update my blog from its last entry, it's been a hectic days since we are now in the new set of challenges. It was honestly the longest gap I had in blogging, nonetheless, I'm back in the blog circulations now.
The title of my blog today sounds a first step of a journey, as if it just hasn't felt like I have never been this far. Updating myself to this high tech right now leads me to a far distance that I have never been to. I love recalling the good old days, especially (my) high school days. The sweet memories I had back then kept on playing repeatedly in particular that my constant communications with my classmates and batchmates are steadily progressing.
My gratitude finally reached for the script of what I was to say that a possible meetings would ultimately comes to reality. I really thanks the section-1 for creating a batch website which purposely created just for their section only. Nevertheless, it was decided to open to all the batch of '89-90. The site becomes our playground everyday, exchanging notes peppered with reminiscing the happy yesteryears.
Our class picture was posted as if we've only just begun. Viewing the picture with those innocently naive faces brought so much smiles on my face, feeling like we just started from the start. Believe me, of all the pictures I have with me, my class picture is the distinction of having had the most internal drama and a wistful nostalgia. The picture came with sparks.
The messages that I have been continually receiving from them has been greatly encouraging. Our batchsite is growingly more impressive, it's like a wildfire that spread rapidly. I am greatly thankful to the section-1 for giving us a way of hope that we could possibly reconnect the past.
Tales of friendship in high school days are also intrinsic part in my life. I always believe that these high school friends I have are the wool I keep in the December of my life. Somewhere along the way, the nook of friendship that was built when I was in Jackson is a proof enough that, indeed, I made a history in those beautiful late 80's days.

NEW YEAR, NEW LIFE

Was absent from my blogging for a number of days...I was glued on watching movies throughout the holidays. 2008 had just passed and we are facing a new life with challenges. Everything that happened in my life in the past negatively was just a part of being me, may it be intentional or unintentional, it should be buried in the bossom of forgetfullness. Somehow it will reincarnate back in my mind but it will not be the reason of my survival of today but just a picture of yesterday that helps me to go on of what is today.
My celebrations of the yuletide season was just so simple and nothing but a primitive. I spent much of them all throughout in my cousin's house till the celebrations ended. Mostlikely, it was spent on watching DVD's, sleep, and watching tv.
There's not much of preparation being served on the table but a plain rice and native delicacies...honestly, we we're affected by the world crisis that prevented us to spend our pennies of buying goods for the Christmas and New Year.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves and extendd our greetings for friends and kins living nearby. It's because I love watching DVD's, presumingly that the movie that I shall be going to watch would relay a message that would builds a portal in my life somehow.
Among the movies that I love to watch over and over was Hotel Rwanda and The Notebook. These two movies were recommended by a friend but the title itself didn't tickle my interest but just ignoring them. Hence,I didn't watch them till no choices had been made but to view them as it was the only movies that topped on the selections.
When I viewed the movies, I was simply moved and unnoticed the tears slowly streaming down on my cheeks...

The Notebook movie was indeed a two thumbs for me:The movie starts by having an old gentleman reading to his companion from an old notebook. It depicts a beautiful tale of a set of teenagers, Allie and Noah, engaging in a lovely summer romance. They had to part because of differences and objections from Allie's upper-class mother.
Noah wrote a letter to Allie everyday for a year without any reply. That is 365 letters but Allie never get them at once. After a year, Noah stopped writing letter.Noah was recruited in to army and Allie pursued her studies. Noah went into World War II. Coming back from the War, Noah lost his father. Noah's father had left him his dream house. A dream house that Noah rebuilt to the exact specifications that Allie had wanted. It was really a torn down, old house with a lakeside view.Just as when Allie was in a "perfect" relationship with a military officer of a good background. Allie saw the news of Noah and the dream house. Allie could not forget and went to seek Noah. Only at this time, then Allie realized that Noah had not given her up. Only then does Allie get back the HUGE bundle of letters from her mother, who has been keeping it from her.
Towards the end of the movie, it is clear that Allie finally chose Noah over the wealthy businessman that she was engaged to. They had 4 kids but she could not remember any. The story brought memories to an old woman who had Alzheimers disease, knowing out that the story was told about her and the old man who reads the notebook.

This movie was another recommended by a close pal. I was convinced to watch it because I have a lot of friends coming from this country Rwanda. Between April and September 1994, Rwanda was in a political uproar leading to the massacre of million of Tutsi minorities by the Hutus. It’s supposed to be very easy for Paul,a Hutu himself, despite his Tutsi wife,to simply turn his back on if not joining the euphoria of the blood shed orgy. But instead,he opened his hotel as a secret refugee, saving more than a thousand Tutsis and risking himself as another “Tutsi cockroach”.
Of course it’s easier to be said than done.On the process,Paul was entangled in certain complexities. The most interesting one was how,in spite of his own mental deprivation,he insisted on portraying himself still as a professional hotelier. Not only so that their secret refugee left unattaked, but also it’s vital for the Tutsis to maintain a sense of hope in the verge of insanity. This was clearly seen when he avoided Dube, his ever faithful staff from seeing him in the middle of his tears.
Many ironic scenes were catched here. A cynical TV journalist said to Paul when he was elated for the possibility of the world to save them when they saw the video of the massacre: “If people see this footage, they’ll say how terrible it is and then go on eating their dinner.”
But indeed the world really turned their back. The UN forces’re not allowed to shoot as they’re told to be the “peace keepers”,not the “peace makers”. Although the Tutsis were defenseless without military power to support them, there’s clearly enough foreign army in Rwanda to do that. The problem was they’re ordered only to evacuate the foreigners, even not including Paul, who had swallowed all the ridiculous western manners, wine, and chocolates through his life. He’s still black and he’s not even a nigger.
To survive this tumult and save the people in his care,Paul was forced to be smart in making quick decisions. All along his years,he had been raised to understand the true strength of power. As a wheeler-dealer he realized the importance of trading favors here as well as how thousand of lives at his hand relied on his stock of cigars and scotch left to bribe the Hutumilitary.
And as if everything he had done was not enough, in the last second, when his family finally obtained the visa required to get out off Rwanda, Paul even decided to stay behind in the hotel with the rest of Tutsis which led his wife and kids to hysteria when they were evacuated by UN convoy. Hotel Rwanda was downlaying the actual gore. But still, the movie would bring you not only to feel that your heart was being squeezed out by the irony, but also to the brink of helpless alarm how the seething hatred would finally burst.
This has been an old movies but it will bring lessons that we need to learn as are living in this tight world

FRAGRANCE OF THE SEASON

Christmas is almost over..and New Year is fast approaching. Christmas is the longest celebration in the country and the celebrations even extended to New Year's eve.
Have you sent your warm wishes to the people dear to you? to your friends? Our spirits rise as we breathe in the winter air flinging off our burdens as we step into the part covered with crispy brown leaves. When you look up into the blue sky you'll find a great big smile through the clouds.
As we are welcoming the 2009,smiles are what fill us with delight and bring us back to our good old days....in 2008.
On a crystal clear blue morning, there is a peace that only you can know...and everyone wish for that world peace in that coming 2009. Everyone is continually asking, what would be in store for us this 2009, since we are covering with tensions of that world crisis?
Looking back the 2008, it wasn't that blissful and prosperous year for me, but a sort of unfortunate and stressful life given to me.
Fear as we called it but 2009 is still an anticipating event that we need to know curiously. We need to shield ourselves whatever that adversaries would attack us somehow.
I wish everyone a blessed 2009 New Year.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

It's Christmas time and the whole planet is celebrating regardless of religions, culture, and spiritual beliefs.Amidst of the world crisis,it never stops the world to celebrate because of its remembrance of God's birth, though its not the exact date of his birth Biblically.
People were busily shopping in advance to avoid the rush. Some may have contented of what is being around, and what is being given by the Almighty. Some were displaying different colors of light and Christmas trees earlier just to fill the air with warm of celebrations.
Some have just preferred their houses flooded with Christmas ornaments, some were reusing and recycling the old stuff just to be frugal of sort.
Others were spending the Yuletide season at home with their families, others preferred to be at their work..just like me.
Nonetheless,no matter how we celebrate it individually and geographically, what matters most is we are celebrating it because of God's remembrance of his birth not just because of the season.
I just wish that I can spend the season with my parents....its been 14 long years and is still counting that I haven't spent it with them. The atmosphere is quiet cool which the air is breathlessly blowing here and there reminding that Christmas is just around the corner now.
Wishing the world a Merry Christmas so as to my fellow Bloggers, frequent visitors and readers.....God Bless us as we are remembering Him this seasons of hope.

MY GROWN UP CHRISTMAS LIST

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies

Well, I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here's my lifelong wish
My grown up christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

I just knew this song last year when a friend of mine shared this song by sending it thru bluetooth. The message behind the song was illuminating that soothes coldly to my heart specially this Yuletide season.
Christmas is the most Wonderful Time of the Year, according to Paul Anka's song, which is true.To be honest,I can't feel much the aura of Christmas since I'm broke and just started my class this Tuesday. We tried to convince the Koreans, to come back here to study English but they were affected of the crisis as well, that stop them to come.
The world is in deep crisis, how could you feel the essence of Christmas? Can you expect people to smile though life is tight right now? I believe people will still wear a smile amidst of the crisis, economically.Shopping malls are still filled with rat mallers and shoppers, busily buying gifts and food for Christmas.
As a grown up person,I have tried to list some of my Christmas wish list.The only thing that I wanted to have in life is a simple living with so much contentment.Herewith, are my Christmas life long wishlist this year;
1.Good stable paying job
2.Traveling/working abroad
3.gifts for my parents and hopefully see them this year.
4.reunion with my brothers and family
5.reunion with my classmates back in high school
6.to be financially stable
7.spiritually stable
8.health
9.to own a Mac laptop
10.to buy a C902 SonyEriccson mobile
11.a lifetime partner

Adults have Christmas wish as well, not just the kids.I can't wish for a world peace since it's prophesied by the Holy Scripture that in the end times world will be in chaos.Too bad, that we are in the midst of this turmoil which the competition is tough,no matter how good you are academically, yet, your diploma won't surely guarantee you of that good future monetarily.
I never have any wish for this year but that list written above..they might not be the complete lists but its just in my mind that is being processed...and considerably a lifelong wish list every Christmas.
