INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE

I love reading inspirational messages..may it be forwarded or just being send from friends.Stories that touches our hearts serve as our rod to cast away fears and discouragement in life.
Another not so close friend had sent me an inspirational story in my friendster mail...I encountered the story a year ago but I love it to post them here in my blog so as everyone would get some thing out of it.....
Extract the story and you'll find out that we need prayer as our tool to combat anything....I don't need them to explain the whole parts about prayer but just read the story and you'll find out.
Here it goes..............

A girl went to a party and she ended
up staying longer than planned, and
had to walk home alone. She wasn't
afraid because it was a small town and
she lived only a few blocks away.
As she walked along under the tall elm
trees, Diane asked God to keep her
safe from harm and danger.
When she reached the alley, which was
a short cut to her house, she decided
to take it.
However, halfway down the alley she
noticed a man standing at the end as
though he were waiting for her.
She became uneasy and began to pray,
asking for God's protection.
Instantly a comforting feeling of
quietness and security wrapped round
her, she felt as though someone was
walking with her.
When she reached the end of the alley,
she walked right past the man and
arrived home safely.
The following day, she read in the
newspaper that a young girl had been
raped in the same alley just twenty
minutes after she had been there.
Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy
and the fact that it could have been
her, she began to weep.
Thanking the Lord for her safety and
to help this young woman, she decided
to go to the police station.
She felt she could recognize the man,
so she told them her story.
The police asked her if she would be
willing to look at a lineup to see if
she could identify him.
She agreed and immediately pointed out
the man she had seen in the alley the
night before.
When the man was told he had been
identified, he immediately broke down
and confessed.
The officer thanked Diane for her
bravery and asked if there was
anything they could do for her
She asked if they would ask the man
one question.
Diane was curious as to why he had not
attacked her.
When the policeman asked him, he
answered, "Because she wasn't alone.
She had two tall men walking on either
side of her."
Amazingly, whether you believe or not,
you're never alone. Did you know that
98% of teenagers will not stand up for
God

RECONNECTING SOMEONE FROM THE PAST

"Without friends the world is but a wilderness...with friends,it is an abundant life."-Silang Memoirs 1990

One of the most beautiful things that happened in my life is learning about this internet thing.Ever since I started to study internet of my own in 2001,it has become a good propeller for me to connect with friends and family and reconnect with my classmates back in high school and in college but lost in contact in the process.
Not recently,I received a long distance call from the States which surprisingly unknown calls for me but formally recognized when we started to exchange of introductions thereafter.
With the cyberspace as our playground,we engraved words abundantly peppered with recalling and greetings.

Her name is Julieta Santos, she was my classmate in second year high school at Olongapo City National High School way way back in the 80's.We were seatmates and seated at the end part of the row.I can still freshly remember the usual kindness we did by "Kopyahan" our answers and sharing of snacks. She was lanky and the tallest among the girls the reason she was voted as muse of the class.
We consistently exchanging emails proving that friendship is just contained in a click of a mouse.
Our last meetings was 1998,we were both boarded on the same bus headed for Olongapo and the rest was forgotten. She's happily married now and blessed with beautiful kids. She's risiding in the States now....
No matter how vague it was, still the chord of friendship clears the dim memories remembering how simple life in High school then was.

NEVER HAD A DREAM COME TRUE

The man for whom time stretches out painfully is one waiting in vain, disappointed at not finding tomorrow already continuing yesterday.
Theodor Adorno

Life comes in unexpected ways, the unwavering and phenomenal time hibernates rapidly. The changes of the world sometimes awestruck us dumbfounding as if the world is racing up with the time.
From the far stretched land of this universe,it always instill in my mind that dreams do come true.
Honestly, the future is an enigmatic issue for me.Worrying much about my dreams and ambition, usually brings me in the stillness of temporary inaction, lingering the time.
I always anticipate greater adversaries as I dream that would definitely defile my spirited beings to dream. Some dreams may fall unexpectedly into depression for being jobless or ended up into a mediocre job with meager salary.
However, the depression might reach its end,but the controversy where I was sandwiched in,would still prevail.
I am certain that every step I march on that red-carpeted path would definitely mean that no matter how I struggle much and extend my effort still an impossibility of the possibility.
The future looks bleak that brought loneliness in my heart...would I still continue my star gazing and dreaming? How long would I dream? Sometimes, streamline of tears goes down to my check as I was looking up the clear blue sky.
With a frustrating government and economic crisis that really feels nostalgic about life, continually telling myself I never had a dream come true...

SIQUIJOR FEATURED IN SEAIR IN-FLIGHT MAGAZINE

When we hear the word Siquijor;black magic, witch craft, monster, etc and other evil forms would suddenly come up to our minds. You'll suddenly feel goosebumps when you hear telltales about the island. They don't know that it is one of the Philippine prides, which the island promotes among one of the finest beaches in the country.
I was born in this island, but I spent much of my teeny boopers in Olongapo city, yet,I still considered the island as home.
The island was featured not only on local TV programs but even on blogs and on an airline magazine.Once again, the island was featured in the In-Flight Magazine owned by Seairline.

Siquijor is one of the Philippines gorgeous islands. It is located in the Central Visayas Region close to the islands of Bohol, Cebu and Negros. The island is the third smallest province in the country both in terms of population and land area.
Siquijor is mostly made up of limestone materials and fringed with mangrove trees, fine and white sand beaches, and coral reefs. The highest point of the island is Mt. Bandilaan, which rises at approximately 557 meters above sea level.
Dubbed as the next Boracay, the island is known for its scenic beauty and archaic churches. It is a haven for nature lovers and adventurers because of its numerous caves, springs and rivers. The coral reefs sorrounding the island are attractions to diving enthusiasts from all over.

RP'S RICHEST MEN

Henry Ward Beecher
It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has.

While watching the local news on TV...GMA Channel-7 featured RP's richest men....they are eventually poor as in poor during their times, but their eagerness to reach the acme of life inspired them of what they are like now.
According to Forbes Asia....the listings of the Philippines richest men has continued to earn more and rose high amidst of the crisis in the country and globally.
Below are the riches of the richests of all:
A shopping mall mogul has become the Philippines richest man after amassing 1.4 billion dollars in past year, while his peers were hit by the global financial crisis, it was announced Thursday.
The fortune that Henry Sy made was the "biggest gain in absolute terms" of the country's wealthiest 40 families, who saw their collective wealth plunge 18 percent amid the world credit turmoil, Forbes magazine said in a statement.
In its annual list of the Philippines' richest people, Forbes said the country's stock exchange had dived 35 percent in the past year, making 25 out of 40 tycoons -- including those in banking and real estate -- were poorer.
Forbes said the Sy family was now worth 3.1 billion dollars, vaulting from second place to first.
The low-profile 83-year-old and his family control SM Investments, which owns stakes in a dozen companies including the nation's second largest bank.
Sy started off selling shoes to American GIs in the Philippines in 1958. From one store known as Shoemart, he built a multi-billion dollar empire.
Today he is Asia's biggest shopping mall operator with 30 mega malls throughout the Philippines.
Jaime Zobel de Ayala and family slipped from first to third as their wealth suffered a massive drop of 800 million dollars, to 1.2 billion dollars, Forbes said.
The stock of their conglomerate Ayala Corp. is down 46 percent since last year in part because of the economic slowdown and declining profits in banking and electronics manufacturing units, it said.
Moving up to second position is Lucio Tan and family, with a net worth of 1.5 billion dollars, although this is still down by 100 million dollars from last year.
Tan controls Philippine airlines as well as the country's largest cigarette firm, one of its largest brewers, mining operations and Hong Kong property.
Also hit hard is property tycoon Andrew Gotianun of Filinvest Land, who fell 10 places to 17th after losing 625 million dollars to give him a net worth of 235 million dollars.
Senate President Manuel Villar, the largest shareholder in high-end homebuilder Vista Land, also saw his wealth tumble 55 percent to 425 million dollars to put him in 11th, down from fifth last year.
Another property kingpin, Andrew Tan, saw his net worth plunge 400 million dollars to 700 million dollars.
The 57-year old made much of his wealth as an office developer for the outsourcing industry and is now betting on gaming and tourism.
Of the 40 richest Filipinos this year, 11 tycoons eked out gains but almost all of those increases were because of reporting on new assets or shareholdings or the combination of relatives' stakes, including Sy.
The Philippines had three billionaires this year compared with four last year as Andrew Tan lost this elite status.
Lourdes Montinola seemed to buck the trend as shares of her Far Eastern University increased 38 million dollars to vault her to number 31 with a net worth of 68 million dollars.
There was only one newcomer, Alfredo Ramos of Atlas Consolidated Mining, who debuted at number 23 with a net worth 126 million dollars.
A net worth of 30 million dollars is required to make the Philippines rich list, unchanged from last year. Fourteen tycoons had net worth of less than 100 million dollars and four of last year's members failed to make the cut.

JOURNEYS OF DISCOVERY

(source:www.natewhitehill.com)

Considering the years I have been blogging(since 2005 and counting) from my old blogsite to blogspot there's something mutually beneficial and exciting in blogging.
My relationship with the blogosphere is akin to a romance where one fuels the others growth.
Since then, new discoveries were being discovered both the writings and the bloggers itselves.I gain more friends and even exchanging links that usually became my favorite place online to visit.Checking their blogsites increases more of my ideas how to write.
Guess what? in all my time of blogging,I learned more about myself from learning from fellow bloggers. In my very own life,I found the courage to find the freedom, leave my comfort zone and make major life changes so I could be as happy as I truly deserved to be.
No one is more fun and fearless than voicing out your inner thoughts in blogging. There are times that absenting in blogging is inevitable but the journey of discovery is a new way of enjoying life just as it is.
This is my other way of discovering things from the outside world...there are so many things that you'll discover online that meltdown the boredom in life.

THE ANGELS

Just wanna share this wonderful story being passed around the net...it was forwarded to me by a friendster-friend and was truly touched by it...wishing you will feel the same thing too.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied... "Things aren't always what they seem".
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel, "how could you have let this happen!? The first man had everything, yet you helped him," "The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let their cow die." "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave her the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."
Sometimes this is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later. - Unknown Author
