SM MALL OF ASIA - 3rd WORLD LARGEST MALL

Wow....as in Mabuhay to all of us Filipinos, because our very own shopping mall is the third of the 10 largest malls in the world.Well, those first and second is in main China, still partly Asia.
what happened to USA,Europe and other industrialized countries who officially claimed to be ahead of us?
This is greatly to prove to the world that Filipinos are mall rats, and I'm one of those who just love to chill out in malls.According to statistic, our malls here are bigger than those in US of A...sounds intriguing isn't it? Eight of the 10 largest malls is here in Asia early 2006 up to the present.
Meaning Philippines is not considered to be the third world country, aren't we? We have big shopping malls. The Asian shopping malls boom as in we are competing to the richer one.
I just wanna give you some updates people..this is according to American Studies at Eastern Connecticut State University Shopping Mall Studies

MOLDER OF DREAMS : EDUCATION COMMITMENT SERVICE

It's been a while that I haven't posted anything but updating this blog, searching for good templates to blogskin and back to blogger templates again. Just don't know why I keep on changing the look of my blog.
Was it a sign of man's unsatisfaction? Perhap's it is but not a sign of greediness.I just practically love my blog to be attracted not just only within the content of my writings but the looks as well.
Looks is also a plus factor that allure diversification of readers' globally. At last, I settled into this template that met my criteria and somewhat close exactly to the theme of writing.
Last 15 of March was our Recognition and Commitment Programme.Sort of graduation from the College of Education. The theme was: Molder of Dreams.Invited speaker was genuinely honorable, yet, not considerably as eloquent one.I mean the messages she had delivered during the program was pleasantly with qualities.
Of course, the speaker easily struck what she wanted to say as I was trying to eavesdrop and open-eyed from the dull and drowsily occasion. Sorry, but that's what I honestly felt that time.Somewhat the flow of the program was arid but not totally barren(hehehehe).
After she had spoken, commitment song followed which we cordially tried to give justice to the song, based on the message given. We decidedly agreed to sing "Journey" by Lea Salonga, coincidentally was the song of my graduation back in my first course in College in Cebu.
Honest to goodness, the theme brought my mind into the core of recollection, asking myself " Was I molding the reverie of my students?, 'Am I a molder of dreams?. Again, uncontrollable tears secretly fell down as I tried to picture out the faces of my students in Sto. DOmingo. If I could just simply turn back time, surely I won't dare to terrorize my students.
All things worked rapidly as it is, for God has a purpose why He permitted it.Now, my mind opened to the reality, as my eyes, sees the error that I need to change.Someday, my internship in Sto. Domingo would cause me to remember the moment I practice my profession in the field.
I really had no planned to be present at the Commitment Service, because my cranium dictated me so, however, to my horror that my Dean would hold back my grades and intercept me to graduate, was then the threatened of my Dean.Well, fortuitously as it was, I received 2 medals repugnant to my expectations. The first one was, Professional Award-having the GPA of not less than 3.24, that's basically a deserving and meant for me, I mean that award was the fruit of my studies here in AUP, to the least, though, studious word is out in my vocabulary.Secondly, Most Effecient Intern.Wow, I mean Wow.I could not imagine enough why I bagged the award of Most Effecient Intern! Contrary to the criteria, I am practically way far from being the Most. I guess, my Dean reckoned my being on time in Sto. Domingo and I was able to survive though I am reluctant.Well, I had it already, so its no turning back of the award.
One that made me happy as well, was the present of my two students in II-B, though I'm not exactly the motif of their visit but then, their warmth greetings melted me to say sorry for being so stricture. That was the moment, that I had felt the essence of the program. Flashing of lights for picture taking, flooded around in Finster Hall.
Good thing that friends (like Amiel T.) around had the initiative of giving us the snapshot.Well, graduation day is almost at the gate. Pretty excited, somewhat mixed emotions! 'Am I going to cry? Don't know yet if my eyes would refuse to bring forth tears, let's just see and anticipate.
God Bless Me, because God made Me Me.

SIQUIJOR - THE MYSTIC ISLAND

SIQUIJOR - THE MYSTIC ISLAND One of the latest movies right now, tells about Siquijor. This is the island where I was born..the province of my great mother. I have not seen the movie but I used to see it in newspaper movie columns. As I was studying the picture of the movie...it's like proclaiming the island negatively about its witchcraft practices. The face of a man in the movie poster, annoyingly speaks how spooky and dreadfully scary Siquijor is. I think... it's not what the picture should have to be about the island.....I've grown up on the island too but I have never seen nor encounter a medium nor witch or what? The said movie is not promoting the beauty of the island but selfishly destroying the image of Siquijor. Honestly, I felt insulted and belittle base on the poster made by the Producer.....Haven't they asked nor study how safe and peaceful the place Siquijor is? It is honestly the best escapade place from the hustle-bustle of the polluted suburbans...
I have these clippings taken from yehey.com, about the complaint of Cong.Fua against the movie:
Will ‘Siquijor’ finally get to see the light? By: Ricky T. Gallardo | The Manila Times 13 March 2007 | 12:53 PM All is set for the nationwide screening of the controversial film Siquijor tomorrow unless an unexpected last-minute hitch comes along. Already given a high B rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board, the film’s showing is highly anticipated by the country’s movie buffs not just because they want to see on screen what they’ve always been hearing about this mystic island but because it gathers what is possibly the best creative team and the most credible new generation of actors in the Philippines today. The film has been in the can for several months now, it's showing delayed several times because of a hundred and one glitches. The most controversial of which was the complaint filed by Governor Orlando B. Fua Sr. of Siquijor, with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, to restrain the exhibition of the movie Siquijor: Mystic Island because it allegedly paints a negative image of the province. The people behind the movie have already formalized their reply and have sought the assistance of MTRCB Chairman Consolacion Laguardia. In response, Laguardia asked the producers to submit to MTRCB the answer print of Siquijor for review before it can act on the request. She also clarified that the board has no power to stop a film based on a party’s complaint and reiterated that the MTRCB merely classifies films according to age suitability. The film was given a PG-13 rating, without cuts.

SWEET SMELL OF TEACHING

SWEET SMELL OF TEACHING

At last,my Directed Teaching is almost over...but faces of my students that are frequently showing unaffected simplicity and lack of guile or worldly experience, that I usually see every now and then, wherever I go.
Does it sounds that I am missing them? Well, I do...I truly miss them..I just love staring at those conveyed countenance of "a teenager's naive ignorance of life".
Moreover, some of my students love me some aren't.that's okay....I can't definitely judge nor hold incriminations to them.
For almost two months of my temporal teaching in Sto. Domingo,I have come to realized that Teaching is eventually a chosen direction made by God for me.Pedagogy came out naturally as I recognized as an important profession.
Nonetheless, this is already a point of no turning back..because I am about to receive the academic degree which upon the completion's of my studies from the Autonomous University (do I sounds so mayabang?)
Modesty aside, the sweet smell of Teaching is when your students give you something that you never expect.I receive two Poems composed by my good students in II-A,despite of the grammar and spellings they are indeed good....I receive letters too from III-A.
I would like to post this Poem just as it is,created by my student:

"A Clown"
I can't show you who's the real me
'Coz my shadow of fear is eternity
I hide beyond happiness
But deep inside of me is sadness.

Rain washed away my tears
Sun rays cover my fears
I loved even my heart is wounded
I laughed even my life was haunted.

I was a clown with my costumes
A clown with my frustration
I was not me but a true actor
Who acts and makes life worth living for.....

This is the II-A's

OPTING THE TEACHING CAREER

OPTING THE TEACHING CAREER

They said that teaching is a calling, highly noble profession and developing the children's mind to be great leaders.Well, at first it's not...but reality proved me wrong that it is...I saw myself enjoying and enjoying terrorizing the students... the young hungry vultures of knowledge..
Still questions pop out from my tactil nerves ( is the spelling right? dunno know)...is teaching for me? Do I sounds like a teacher? Am I touching their hearts?
Huh ! Do I have the choice?....am already here....enjoying my Directed Teaching at Sto. Domingo National High School.
At least, I am enjoying though I'm still reluctant of my chosen career (?) or let say chosen course....I dont want to complain at all....it's the Lord decision why He wants me to teach..maybe to discipline me, I guess (lang naman).
Lo and behold, words of adjective to modify myself...the real me...the real I...the real Eric...is an impatient, brutally frank, less evil-less good, narcissistic vulgar, showing signs of Adolf Hitler reincarnation, with a thick gullible skull and most of all a worst social climber of all marxist and species of monkeys este species of Homo Sapiens (pala).....
Do you think (any) students can afford to stay in the classroom with such abnormal, yet, romantic as I describe it...hehehehe...please do give me a favor !! for that. If Dr. Jose Rizal would just be alive today as in TODAY....I strongly believed that he gonna kill me at Bagumbayan or Luneta by now.....wow..sounds really classy and publicly worth dying....(am I getting crazy?)
On the contrary, amidst of that terroristic approach towards my students...they still love me after all...of course..and nothing but OF COURSE.....I love them. You know what, I began missing my students in Sto. Domingo....haaayyyy, what an indescribable feeling !!!
I shed river of tears many times because of my missingness to these future educators of ours and even asked God to touch their feelings and to remember me ,though we parted ways......I just prayed that they will grow intelligently with blue collars someday.

Entrance of Sto.Domingo National High School

Tinny my fellow Intern, My Critic teacher and I with my zebrans sleeve

II-B I ask forgiveness from the Lord for being so brutally narcissistic to this class....truly,they made me to realize thay they were crying and bleeding inside as I look at their innocent faces.Sounds of begging were playing repeatedly in my ears....at least, I can calmly sleep now at night.

III-B so passive, on this class but they are surviving..though !

II-C..forgive me Lord, but this section is a toxic..I dont feel anything.

II-A just doing their parts to impressed me..honestly, they are literally good....and competitive.

III-A portraying Anne Frank..they experienced the unexpected embarrassment from me.Sorry guys...love you after all.

HARRY POTTER HAS GROWN UP

HARRY POTTER HAS GROWN UP
Unbelievably true, yet, it's true... that the movie we used to watch and graciously adore by girls...Harry Potter, has grown up to be a young man.
Daniel Radcliffe in real life name (am not sure, though) had exposed himself to a stage acting aside from sticking to Harry Potter childish image.
Well, at least he decided to expand his horizon into the field of acting.....here are some pics to prove that he got into this stage acting...showing off his lanky body....I think it's his West End stage debut.......too bad we dont have that here in Pinas...
According to the source of this pictures: Daniel Radcliffe to make his West End stage debut starring opposite Richard Griffiths in the first major revival of Peter Shaffer’s classic play “EQUUS” opening at the Gielgud Theatre on Tuesday 27 February 2007.Daniel Radcliffe, who will be making his legitimate West End stage debut, will star as ‘Alan Strang’. “EQUUS”, which will have a fourteen-strong cast, will be directed by Thea Sharrock and designed by the play’s original designer John Napier. “EQUUS” will have lighting by David Hersey, movement by Scarlett Mackmin and sound by Greg Clarke.
Just a bit background of his character;Alan Strang (Daniel Radcliffe) seems a normal, obedient 17-year old with a passion for horses. Then one night he blinds six horses with a hoof pick. What drove him to it? His life seems routine, his family loving, his pursuits harmless and yet he has been placed under psychiatric surveillance - an unresponsive patient who is woken each night by terrible nightmares. Only psychiatrist Martin Dysart (Richard Griffiths) seems able to grasp the answer to this psychological puzzle.
Satisfied??????? click here for more of Daniel Radcliffe.

KC Concepcion's Piczzzz

Well.....I just found the personal site of kc or blog online a month & a half now thru this multiply site as well.....she has a lot of pictures which I dragged some of it to post them here...........honestly, she has the full appearance of her Dad, the former matinee idol in the Philippine Cinema....Her full countenance reminds me of Gabby Concepcion (Dad nga nya anoh)..... the actor of the 80's. Just praying that KC won't cursed me to high heaven's and sue me for dragging her picz without asking her humble approval.....surely she won't take her time to view my blog.....heheheh.good for me....though !
She is studying right now in American University in Paris.....just to let you know that she's proficient in French language. Just to prove that I've got her site then check this out: KC and see for yourself that it is not really a site made by her fans or what......this is just the real KC site....thing. Eventualy, before she has this multiply account....I remember that she had her own site aside from this. But if this won't work...I had her added to my blog lists...at the extreme right of this blog...just look for KC name there.

BUTTERFLY KISSES LYRICS

I just heard this song a century ago...but I did not lend my sense of hearing to this kind of music since I am simply not interested.
One day, I just borrowed a USB from a dear pal while I was busyly taking my comprehensive exam at the English Department and so I was enjoying and listening to her collection of songs....and one of that is Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle........I just noticed that I got carried away by the song....as if I'm already a Daddy...whew.
As I was savoring the melody of the song...the message behind on it deeply soothes in my heart.....this song is now a part on my collections as well.....I truly like the song. The song was so precious and sentimental as it is dedicated to a father sadly losing her favorite girl. It's truly a song that captures the emotions felt for a father on his daughter's wedding day.....unbelievably she's grown up enough to be a woman and ready to settle down.

I posted the lyrics here and you can simply view the video as well...by simply clicking the site below..
BUTTERFLY KISSES
by Bob Carlisle
There's two things I know for sure
She was sent here from heaven and she's daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and I thank God for all the joy in my life Oh,
but most of all For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;
sticking little white flowers all up in her hair;
"Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride.""I know the cake looks funny, Daddy,
but I sure tried."
In all that I've done wrong I know I must have done something right
to deserve a hug every morning and butterfly kisses at night.

Sweet 16 todayShe's looking like her Mama a little more everyday One part woman,
the other part girl.
To perfume and make-up from ribbons and curls Trying her wings out in a great big world.

But I rememberButterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;
sticking little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, Daddy, But if you don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time.
"With all that I've done wrong I must have done something right to deserve her love every morning and butterfly kisses at night.

All the precious time Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly.Spread your wings and fly.

She'll change her name today. She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride-room just staring at her.
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said "I'm not sure-
I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
She leaned over...gave me butterfly kisses with her Mama there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk my down the aisle, Daddy-it's just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy? Daddy, don't cry!"
Oh, with all that I've done wrong I must have done something right.
To deserve your love every morning and butterfly kisses-
I couldn't ask God for more, man this is what love is.
I know I gotta let her go, but I'll always remember every hug in the morning and butterfly kisses.
