LANTAU ISLAND - HONGKONG

On our 4th days in Hongkong, I walked alone again without somebody tagging along with me,,I think being alone on the travel is better than in a big group. I love being with my Thai groups but it seems that its more adventurous if you will go roaming around the island without any hassles to the group.
So, searching for a tourist destination in Hongkong, I checked on my tourist map and saw the easisest direction going to Lantau island- where the giant buddha in the world located.
I find my way there in other words, which it took me a few minutes to reach the place coz its another island aside Hongkong central and Kowloon.
The most exciting part that I experienced of my travelling was riding myself in the Sky cable-car.
You see, I have fear of heights and I really hate long and tall area..that scares me to death and weakens my knees.
But since I went to Hongkong for a trip and it only happens once in a blue moon( Hope not) I strongly and bravely challenged myself. Well, I went on a cable car with a couple of fellow foreigners which I travelled alone there.
Although, going to the giant buddha is free and they provided shuttle bus to foreigners..but still I chose the challenging one..and you see it was scary when you are up high and you look down, everything look likes an ant or a speck.
I reached at Lantau island, the place was almost enveloped with fogs but that didn't stop me of touring the area.
Won't talk more..so let the pictures speak for itselves...

Call me a corny-one or what...but I just love posting and sharing my Hongkong pics here...anyway, this is my territory and I can do whatever I wanted to do.
So much for that, I can't easily erase the memories I had in Hongkong. It is honestly an answered prayer.
God has been so good to me....and didn't expect that aside Thailand and Laos, Hongkong was in God's blueprint. Imagine, I went way too far beyond of my expectations.
How wonderful the surprises God was .....anyway, posting of pics on the way.

SPRING TRIP IN HONGKONG

Before I came to do the advance-dreaming of a Hongkong trip, my head-teacher initiated a plan of travelling abroad since our summer vacation here in Thailand is approaching. When she mentioned that she got a promo-ticket price online Bangkok-Hongkong on a round trip, my excitement flared up of the low price. To my surprised, she approached me if I'd love to come along with her on a trip to HK...of course, I didn't hesitate to give my answer. However, frustration got on me if my salary for the month of March would be enough for the trip in HK knowing how expensive HK is, plus I need to send some of it to my parents in the Philippines so as a budget for the months of April - May and for my tithes and offering...how could you divide and budget your money for those I mentioned? Nevertheless, I went there with the group, composed of 2 Pinoys(including myself), my co-Pinoy teacher, and the rest were Thais. My adrenaline went up(maybe the excitement) which I thought of staying in the airport ahead of time..5 hours before the exact time of our flight (funny, wasnt it). Boarding on a plane for the second time was a bit comforting slapping myself to believe that I'm really travelling headed for Hongkong. Imagine, Hongkong just a small country but you see how famous this country is to every travellers...I think the most visited country in Asia particularly. So, when the plane landed on the airport, I saw tall buildings out of the window, as in tall buildings that I haven't seen in my country even in Thailand..that's where I was completely pursuaded that HK was on my hand. Well, I have nothing to say....really. running out of words to express my happiness but just a never ending praises to the Lord for allowing me to visit some other places aside Philippines, Thailand and Laos. Please do feast your eyes of the pictures that's being posted in here.

EXPERIENCING HONGKONG

Sorry for not keeping my promise... I lied 'coz I was on a six days trip in Hongkong, eventually it was only 5 days to be exact. The trip wasn't enough and unsatisfying, because it's too short to imagine and yet there's so many places to visit and more things to discover about. My happiness has been completed when God gave unexpected blessings which was a short trip in Hongkong and a side-trip to Macau. Honestly, I'm still savoring my trip in Hongkong...I dunno why I have this feeling that it drawn to me easily. During my trip there, my group and I decided to stay in a hostel for a cheaper budget instead of staying in a costly hotel..it wasn't that expensive which was enough for a backpacking place stay on..the room was so simple and it's located in the heart of Nathan Road-Kowloon. We were just eating separately and spent our money for food wherever we wish to eat. The hostel we had stayed was located at Nathan Road, who happens to be the center and famous road in Kowloon..you can see it in front of a big mall and easy to locate since there are a lot of Indians grouping outside of the building. The building was a mixed of a department store, apartment of sort....in the entrance way to the hostels were filled with techie stored owned by Indians and Africans...its kindda of annoying 'coz they'll approached you and blocking on the way..its honestly congested but safe. On our way to HK, we thought it's summer too just as the same weather in Thailand, but to our surprised people wearing winter jackets as it was still spring in Hongkong..well, love the weather there. To make it short, I love Hongkong, the energy and busyness of the people..I think I'd survive there. Anyway, here are the photos serves as a proof. Just indulge your eyes of the nice views that you'll see of the pixies.

URGENT UPDATE

Its the 4th day of the month of April. I'm now in Bangkok city, enjoying the noise, pollution, traffic and the cramming city life.
My boring summer days in the place I'm staying is over because I let myself to be deafened by the noise pollutions of the city.
God has been so good, despite of the shortcomings I've done everyday, yet, He continues to send the sun to keep me on the light..seeing the great hope He'd promised.
A blessing month of April because I was in the church for the second time and by this 9th of April- an unbelievable trip will be in Hongkong.
Isn't that an enormous blessings?
While staying in Bangkok, I went to a fave mall of mine in Bangkok- MBK.just almost everything in there are cheap , just within your reach.
Checking in a comfy and not so costly hotel is a good treat for myself....still have to save enough for my budget this April and for the month of May.
What else can I say? never experienced this thing in Philippines...I would say I am fortunate enough to accept this call of teaching here in Thailand.
Hoping for another trip around the neighboring countries of Thailand soon.
